5 – Justification
5.1 – The Afro-Brazilian Entrepreneurs of Goiás State
mission, is liked to open possibilities to stablish, create and strengthening
of individuals entrepreneurs, micro and small business and encourage them to be
part of internal trade and also the competitive international trade. The
accomplishment of II International Seminary: “Brazil – AFRICA – Bangladesh”, with participation of South Africa, Angola, Cape Verde, Republic of Guine-Bissau, Mozambique e
Bangladesh embassies in Brazil, strengthen that mission. Another important
factor according to SEBRAE´s research issued in September/2013, point out
race/skin color, the afro-entrepreneurs activities sectors, go throughout
fashion market, beauty, culture, cuisine, technology and communication sectors.
“In ten years, the production value output by small business increase from R$
144 bi to R$ 599 bi. Like this, the small business respond for more than ¼ of
our Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Together, the micro and small Brazilian
business represents about 9 millions formal entrepreneurs, in the other words,
27% of our GDP.
Those data show up the success: 27% of GDP, 52% of our
employee have a formal contract, 40% of paid salaries, 8,9 million of micro and
small business, based in recent data issued by SEBRAE. In Brazil, therefore,
black people represents the majority in the entrepreneurs sector. Between 2002
and 2012, 50% of micro and small business stated themselves black or brown, 49%
stated themselves as white. Acting in lower gross profits, as agriculture,
informal sellers and hairstylist, the blacks accumulate lower income then the
whites in the same sector. The income held by the white businessman, which
dominates the machine and health services, is 112% bigger then the blacks in
the same sector. According to data, 41% of blacks and brown working with
entrepreneurs activities are at northeast, region which afro-entrepreneurs
dominate. According to SEBRAE, the progress of black people as businessman or
businesswoman show that social politics conducted in those groups has been more
effective and point out also the creation of a juridical figure of individual
entrepreneurs (MEI) as a important factor to actual black entrepreneurs
reality. A research made by SEBRAE shows that the afro-entrepreneurs increased
their monthly income and the level of education. Between 2002 and 2012, there
was a expansion of study time and table for the black people, from 4,7 to 6,5
years. The black entrepreneurs income increased from R$ 786 to R$ 1.138. Luiz
Barreto believes that the time of study is a important factor to the life
improvement of afrodescendant entrepreneurs. Contributes to the expansion of
business participation of micro and small business, presenting them in a
strategic trade routes from those nations. The event will allow identify and
strengthen new opportunities which induce individual entrepreneurs, the micro
and small business to a dynamic of bigger prosperity. There´s no doubt about
the importance of inclusion a economic role being the away to reduce of social
inequality in Brazil.
